1. Eligibility for Renting

To rent a vehicle, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (age requirements may vary by vehicle type).

• Possess a valid driving license accepted in India.

• Provide valid government-issued ID proof (e.g., Aadhar card, PAN).

• Agree to a security deposit if required.

2. Booking & Confirmation

• All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.

• A booking is considered confirmed only after full or partial payment and receipt of confirmation via email or WhatsApp.

• Accurate personal and contact information must be provided during booking.

3. Vehicle Use

You agree to:

• Use the vehicle responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

• Not use the vehicle for racing, towing, or illegal activities.

• Not permit anyone else to drive the vehicle unless registered as an additional driver.

4. Payment & Charges

• Rental charges, fuel policies, and any applicable taxes will be communicated at the time of booking.

• Extra charges may apply for:

  • Late return

  • Excess kilometers

  • Damages not covered under insurance

  • Traffic violations

5. Fuel Policy

• Vehicles are provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned with the same level.

• Refueling charges may apply if not returned with the same level.

6. Insurance & Damage

• Basic insurance is provided with each rental. However:

  • Damages due to negligence or accident may result in full or partial liability.

  • Tyre damage, glass breakage, or underbody damage are not covered by default.

• In case of an accident, the customer must immediately inform Damodar Car Rental and the local authorities.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental date are eligible for a full refund (excluding transaction fees).

• No refund for last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

• Refunds (if any) will be processed within 5–7 working days.

8. Vehicle Pickup & Drop

• Pickup and drop timing must be adhered to strictly.

• Delays in return may attract extra hourly charges.

• Vehicle inspection is mandatory during both pickup and return.

9. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for:

• Returning the vehicle in the same condition as received.

• Paying all penalties, tolls, or legal liabilities incurred during the rental.

• Ensuring no prohibited items are carried in the vehicle.

10. Liability

Damodar Car Rental is not liable for:

• Any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

• Delays or cancellations due to uncontrollable factors (weather, road conditions, etc.).

• Accidents, injuries, or damages caused during the rental period.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in [Your City/State, e.g., Goa].
